Credit Union Mortgage Alliance Network (CUMAnet) hosted its first two webinars recently. The web-based program makes it possible for client credit unions to connect with other participants through the Internet regarding a variety of financial topics.
Presented by Universal Real Estate services, Inc. and in conjunction with the Jordan Real Estate Group, the first of CUMAnet's free webinar series took place on June 26th and was entitled "Home Appraisals in a Challenging Market." The webinar was targeted to the senior management of existing and prospective client credit unions.
The second webinar, "Real Estate Consultative Services for Your Members," was presented by HomeSold and took place on July 24th. Existing and potential CUMAnet client credit unions participated in the webinar which discussed HomeSold's online home buying and selling resource, an innovative service CUMAnet is offering to their client credit unions, that is designed to both lower real estate commissions for borrowers and generate additional purchase money mortgages.
The third webinar is scheduled for August 21st on "Fannie Mae's view on current market conditions and proposed legislation" which will include a presentation by a Fannie Mae representative.
CUMAnet plans to host more webinars later this year. In addition to informational conferences, CUMAnet will use the technology of webinars to reach out to various clients in order to give them the chance to introduce their staff to CUMAnet when they first come aboard. Webinars will also be used in the future for client staff training.
